Advanced Courses
‘Advanced Courses’ have been designed to provide a spring board for youth players to get to the next stage in the ‘Age Group’ world, be that from club to district or district to county. Participants will be tested and stretched by the coaching staff to think tactically, work physically harder and hone the skills needed to step up the ladder.
During a ten-week program coaches will look to strip back players technique to work from the foundations up, ensuring that they are proficient in their basic skills before moving on to fine tuning later in the course. Additionally we will introduce youngsters to the key areas of cricketing preparation experienced by players at elite levels; mental, physical and tactical.
Integral to our success players will receive an elite approach to cricket development and preparation. With parental consent players can expect to have bowling actions and batting technique captured on video with visual and written feedback. This allows our coaching staff to recommend technical improvements and tailor drills specific to each individuals needs. Finally players will also learn to analyse their own and others technical strengths and weaknesses to self manage preparation and match play effectiveness.
Hard Ball Introduction
‘Hard Ball Introduction’ allows younger players to experience what their heroes face on the big stage. Over the 10 weeks an acclimatisation process will take place discovering how to bowl, bat and field with a real cricket ball. Boys and girls attending will learn about Net safety, Equipment, Running between the wickets, Bowling from the correct distance and taking those brave match winning catches.
At Cricketbath we will ensure that players walk away fully prepared and equiped to start their journey into Twenty20 cricket.
