Bath Cricket Club, which was founded in 1859, is located within the recreational heart of a World Heritage City and alongside the River Avon that flows just beyond the boundary wall. It shares spectacular views from its manicured ground that encompasses the spires of Bath Abbey where the first King of all England, King Edgar was crowned in 973AD, also St Johns Church (built 1863) with its nesting peregrine falcons, the Dome of the “Guildhall” rebuilt in 1778 which houses Baths first shopping market and which has traded on the same site for over 800 years, and the “Empire Hotel” a six story building which is now luxury apartments, built in 1901, with its unique “three shaped roofs” that represent the “classes”, a castle for the upper class, a house for the middle class and a cottage for the lower class.

The Club is a leisurely 10-minute stroll from both Bath Spa railway station and the newly re-refurbished bus station. Centrally located, the Club also has a separately managed 145 spaced “pay & display” car park should you be travelling independently. Bath Rugby Club and the Bath Sports Centre are just opposite.

Our function room is for multi-purpose use and dependant on your requirements, can host up to 100 people. It can be used for a variety of events including conferences and seminars, team building and training, presentations, end of season dinners, social and business meetings, weddings and evening parties. When the weather is kind the concertina doors can be opened and your guests can stroll on to the raised terrace, part of it with its glass fronted and stainless steel facade and seating for almost as many again.

As an example, our formal sit down table clothed events comfortably seat 81 guests (9 tables x 9) for both lunch or dinner. Should you wish entertainment in the form of live music / DJ and require food as well, you would be advised to speak to a member of the hospitality team with regard to numbers of guests who would be comfortably entertained.

We will consider marquee events on our ground, but cricket matches are our priority at the given time of year.

We have a first class contracted catering specialist who provide for, and host, all our main events. They offer a range of menus that have been designed to cover all eventualities and they would also be happy to produce a bespoke offering that meets your personal needs. We also have a small in-house team, who take care of the sandwiches and nibbles!!

Venue hire costs can be viewed on our terms and conditions tab and our food offerings on the menu tab.
