Latest News from Bath Cricket Club

Preparations to retain league titles and bring further success across senior and junior cricket in 2017 have already begun within the Bath Indoor Cricket Centre.

Newly appointed Senior cricket coach Paul Muchall brings first class experience to the coaching unit and is already getting stuck in to his task. Recently crowned as WEPL player of the year, Paul is taking our “One’s to Watch” to the next level. Equipped with his knowledge and enthusiasm Paul is challenging both Batting and Pace bowling groups on Monday evenings to get more runs on the board and up our skill levels with the ball.

Tuesday nights turn to the TOPs (Talent Opportunity Potential) player programme. Jonathan Green has handpicked players who have shown the ability, desire and dedication to develop their skills through the youth section and into senior cricket. As a reward for committing to play senior cricket during 2017 players will receive 1:1 coaching as we lead up to Senior training and then have regular contact time during winter practice and throughout the season.

The hunt for the next England players to follow in the footsteps of Anya Shrubsole and Fran Wilson continues on Sunday afternoons. Lead by Darren Harris, advanced sessions will be delivered to selected players within the Spears 2 & 3. Players will develop individual techniques across all disciplines, through drills, activities and targeted net sessions with the aim of creating more competitive Spears teams and developing a pathway to Wanderers senior cricket.
