CLUBHOUSE AND EVENTS MANAGER

Founded in 1859, Bath Cricket Club is a leading community cricket club which has been designated a focus club by the England & Wales Board to be a hub of the community network for cricket development, particularly for the benefit of children and young people.  It is located within the recreational heart of the city sharing spectacular views from its ground of Bath Abbey and the Empire Hotel.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, Bath Cricket Club is seeking a dedicated Clubhouse & Events Manager with the energy, enthusiasm, talent and experience to become the front of house ‘face’ of hospitality at the Club.  This represents a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a highly ambitious cricket club with a playing membership of more than 80 adults and 250 juniors (boys and girls) and an ambitious and growing community outreach programme.  You will be organised, a competent IT user with excellent people and administrative skills.

Skills/Experience

 

Essential

·       Demonstrate 3 years + experience in a hospitality environment.

·       Experience of managing a small team

·       NVQ Qualification in Food Preparation & Cooking

·       Flexible approach to hours of work including the willingness and ability to work weekends and bank holidays 

·       Demonstrate strong organisation, teamwork, IT and administrative skills.

·       Have an ambitious approach to continuous improvement and success.

·       Full driving licence.

 

Desirable

·       An interest in cricket or sport in general

 

Start Date:

Immediate start

 

Hours of Work:

37.5 hours a week on average over a 52-week year.  Due to the nature of the cricket club the hours will vary seasonally with more hours to be worked between April and September.

 

25 days holiday

 

Salary:

£24,000 p.a.
