Tom Woods introduces himself to the club

I started playing cricket with Shenley Village CC when I was very young and played there for a good few years until I moved to Kings Langley CC in around 2010. I played County cricket for Hertfordshire U11, U12, U13 and U15s as a left arm medium-fast bowler.
I continued to work on my batting in the mean time and would probably now say I'm more of an all rounder. After I injured my knee playing football, my school coach worked on turning me into a left arm orthodox bowler to put less stress on my knee. I played for my school 1st XI for 3 years which was Merchant Taylors' School in Northwood and have been lucky enough to train with the likes of Steve Finn and Chris Rogers.
I have also had a couple of mentions in 'The Wisden Cricket Annual' for bowling performances. I decided to play for Old Merchant Taylors' CC last year and have also played a couple of "cricketer cup" matches in recent years.
However, now I am studying Chemistry in Bath it seemed like a good opportunity to train locally at the cricket club and hopefully look forward to playing with new team mates this season.
