Jamie started playing for Beckenham CC as a youngster in the U11 side as a 9 year old.

Jamie is the record run scorer as a junior for Beckenham CC having scored nearly 1,800 runs in North Kent Junior League and cup cricket with a top score of 160 at U16 level.

He played representative cricket for Kent at U10, U11 and U12 age groups making three half centuries at that level.

Jamie started playing adult cricket at 13 in the Sunday sides at Beckenham.

He made is 2nd XI league debut in 2010 at the age of 15 and progressed to the 1st XI in the Premier Division of the Kent League in 2012 when he was 17.

He made his maiden Premier Division Kent League century in August 2013

Jamie also had a successful school cricket career at Trinity School near Croydon in Surrey.

He was a prolific run scorer at the junior level before making his debut for the school 1st XI at 15.

In his final two summers at Trinity Jamie made 4 centuries including a match winning 108* in the annual MCC game in July 2013 which resulted in a visit to Lords and a presentation by Mike Gatting last summer.

Jamie also spent 3 months at the ACE Cricket Academy in Perth in early 2014 and played Grade cricket for the Western Suburbs club where he also helped their U21s to the Perth grand final of that club competition.
