Summer Holiday Cricket Camps 2017

The Summer Holidays are just around the corner and the season has seen teams recording victories way beyond
the numbers achieved in 2016. The Girls section and Under 11 Cutlasses have created more upsets than we'd ever thought imaginable. Fingers crossed the Under 15 Samurais and Under 11 Arrows can hang on to top spot in their respective leagues!

We will still have a handful of games played into the school holidays but another way to keep the cricketing love alive will be to attend our holiday camps which will take place at North Parade on the weeks beginning 24th and 31st July. So far our camps held over Easter and Half-Term have proved to be extremely well attended with lots of hard ball cricket, competitions and prizes every day.

Each day starts at 9am (8.30am early drop is available), Lunch is at 12pm (free lunch BBQ on fridays for those attending all day )and finishes at 3.30pm costing £35.
For those with super busy schedules we offer the half day option for £20.
We also offer a discount for chidren who are with us for the whole week, £150 for 5 days of fun.

If you'd like to join us please click  here to register and pay online.

Bath Cricket Club is proud to announce that we have three new sponsors, for the next three years, in Fidelius, Investec and Strawberry Fields catering.

With new sponsors, players will also have a new kit manufacturer in Under Armour, to display sponsors logo’s. Therefore it will be an expectation of every player to wear new playing and training shirts on match days and practice nights. We understand that this will come at a cost to you as parents and have helped by subsidising this at source with local retailer John Moore Sports.

This Summer when you register online, through ClubPay, membership rates will be higher but will include the cost of both items of clothing, which you can then take proof of purchase to John Moore Sports on Argyle street, to collect your new stash!

Advertising Boards

Bath Cricket Club would like to make all families aware that we still have spaces available to advertise around the outfield on boundary boards. Currently

We have twenty local companies, who have bought prime advertising space, in the centre of town at North Parade. If you are an owner or know of a business that may be interested in purchasing a boundary board please contact

Parent Group

As a product of the parents forum held in January the youth section has committed to building a link with parents to ensure that our communication and performance as coaches matches your expectations. To ensure that we meet our goals a ‘Parent Representative Group’, led by Mary Mullally and Martin Barnes, will be created to have regular catch up’s and be a point of contact for you all should anything require attention. We’ll then look to meet face to face every three weeks during the season in the hope we can keep practice, selection and matches running smoothly in 2017. If you’d like to be a ‘Parent Rep’ please contact if you’re in the Girls section and for the boys section.

Bath CC Charity of the year – Jessie May Trust

Jessie May is a Children's Hospice at Home service caring for local terminally ill children. Jessie May Nurses provide vital respite care, emotional support, end of life care, and bereavement support alongside family events that help create treasured memories. Jessie May Nurses work throughout Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath & North East Somerset. Jessie May needs you. Without your support we are unable to provide each child and family with the vital support they need.

This year Bath Cricket Club will be raising money to support Jessie May and we’re kicking off by entering the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 12th March. We have nine places entered, but due to the injury of some of our playing members, we have three places available for anyone who would like to join us. If running 13.1 miles is a tad too strenuous for you but you’d still like to help the charity we have plenty of events coming up across the summer! In the mean time if you’d like to help us sooner with our quest to raise £5000 in 2017, please click here

That’s all from me for now. Have a great half term

Youth Cricket

Welcome to Bath CC’s youth section. We have a rich and successful history within our squads and continue to strive towards providing a safe and exciting foundation for young cricketers, as we try to find our next first team and senior player’s for the weekends.

Led by our Youth Coaching Coordinator, Jonathan Green, we currently have 8 boys and 3 girls squads for ages Under 9 through to Under 15 who play competitive cricket.

We are proud to say that our boys and girls are trained by our group of 17 qualified coaches who’s levels range from ECB Level 1 through to National Coaching Award winning Level 3’s.

Training in the winter takes place in our, on site, two lane, Indoor Cricket Centre, which will commence in the week beginning 30th January 2017 (Girls -  Mondays, U13 & 15 - Thursday, U9 & 11 - Friday)

Summer 2017 aligns with the school summer term’s (w/b April 17th – 17th July) and begins at North Parade from Monday to Friday using our outfield and Three lane Astroturf  nets (with 3G landing areas to save our young joints from the stress of bowling). During this period we enter the Bath & District Youth Cricket Leagues as well as League and National Cups.

2017 will see the very first year of Under 9 competitive hard ball cricket playing in the Bath & District Youth Cricket League in the under 11, 8-a-side, Pairs cricket competition.

TOPs  (Talent, Opportunity and Potential)

The 2017 welcomes back the TOPs Programme, which will run from November to August, providing support for four handpicked players who we feel will make an impact in senior cricket at Bath Cricket Club in the future.

Introduced at the start of the new millennium its aim was to support and fast track the development of talented youth players who had shown potential to become cricketers for the 1st XI in men’s and women’s cricket and hopefully beyond. This was achieved by providing 1:1 coaching on a weekly basis during the off-season, allowing players to work on strengths and weaknesses specific to their own game.

The list of players to have graduated now reads like a Bath CC who’s who with club captains, Tom Stayt and Lloyd Davies taking part in the inaugural group along with former player of the year and repeated Burkhart fielding award winner James Campbell. Of the girls that have been included, even greater success has been achieved internationally with Anya Shrubsole and Frances Wilson both working hard through the winter months with their coaches support and now represent England on the Test Match, ODI and T20 stage.

This year we are proud to welcome a new cohort to the Program and hope that they can follow in the proud footsteps of those before them into senior cricket at Bath CC and hopefully beyond.
