Bath’s Wanderers 1st XI won the toss and elected to bat in their Women’s Club Cup T20 second round match against Bridgwater CC Women’s XI. Although the Wanderers lost an early wicket, choosing to bat first proved a good decision, as captain, Emma Godman (70) and Charlotte Philips (56*) took the away sides score up to 150-2 in 20 overs.
Bridgwater lost two early wickets to the excellent bowling of Maddie White (2-20), and despite an undefeated 64 from Joleigh Roberts, ably supported by Neve Kennedy (27), the home team fell short of victory by 25 runs, finishing on 126-6. The Wanderers 1st XI now progress to the third round.
