Bath CC Wanderers 1st XI v Gunnersbury Womens CC – Women’s Club Cup T20 – National Semi-Final

Bath CC Wanderers suffered an agonising final over defeat again Gunnersbury Womens CC on Sunday in the national semi-final of the Women’s Club Cup T20 competition.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Bath Wanderers posted a competitive 140-5 from their 20 overs largely due to an excellent 78 from Genevieve Donaldson.

Gunnersbury got off to an excellent start, with the openers putting on 78 for the first wicket, but then an inspired piece of bowling from Lily Day (3-33), who dismissed Naomi Dattani (40), Natasha Miles (1), and Georgia Irving (2). When Catherine Dalton (61) was also picked up by Connie Osborn, Gunnersbury had slipped to 125-4. However, Amelie Bishop (27*) took the home side to victory with just four balls to be bowled for a six wicket win.
