Bath CC Wanderers 1st XI v Taunton Deane CC Women’s 1st XI

Bath CC’s Wanderers 1st XI recorded a convincing win against Taunton Deane CC Women’s 1st XI on Sunday at North Parade. In their second Women’s Premier Division fixture of the summer, the Wanderers won the toss and chose to field first. This proved a good decision as Sophie Gaiger bowler opener, Katie Rowe for a duck first ball of the match, and although three away batters made double figures, Taunton Deane continued to lose regular wickets and were eventually bowled out for an under par 88 in the 34th over. Pick of the Wanderers bowlers was Katie Dolman (3-2) and Charlotte Phillips (2-4).

Although skipper, Emma Godman went in the first over of the Wanderers reply, Laila Moledina (28*) and Katie Dolman (44) helped take the home team to a rapid victory as they passed Taunton Deane’s total in the 13th over, just three wickets down. This seven wicket victory ensures that the Wanderers are the only unbeaten side in the Women’s Premier Division with a match in hand over the clubs above them in the league.
