Claymores v Lansdown (League cup)

Same opponents as the night before but a knock out game.

This time we batted first looking to improve on yesterday’s performance. We looked more assured at the crease and applied ourselves much better. We started really well with Max H 14, Luke Stringer 24 and Joe T 13 moving us forward towards our total of 83. However, we couldn’t kick on later in the innings.

In the defence of our total we bowled well in patches but not consistently enough to apply pressure to the Lansdown batters. Will R 1-10, Christian L 0-6 and Max H 0-22 where the pick of our bowlers. Our fielding had some highlights that involved a very good run out from Christian L and a brilliant catch from Max H. Sadly Lansdown reached out total for the loss of 2 wickets.
