U11 Blades v U11 Arrows

Tonight was a much more evenly contested performance. Bath Blades opted to bowl first and began positively with 4 bowlers; Max, Darragh, Seb, and Tom taking wickets. The fielding performance too was greatly improved from yesterdays fixture against Keynsham. Boys were being supportive and complimentary of each other which was fantastic to see and this seemed to have a direct impact on performance with players backing up and diving left right and centre to save boundaries. By the end of the 20 overs, Bath Arrows had scored 153-4.

Ed and Seb opened the batting and started fantastically well. Running frequently and exploiting miss fields, they put on 35 between them before Ed was run out via a direct hit. Seb continued to bat well and finished on 21 before losing his wicket. Jack came to the crease midway through the innings and established himself well, hitting a considerable number of strong shots and maintaining his wicket through to the end of the game. Bath finished on 103-7 which is a fantastic improvement on our previous performance and the boys should be really proud of themselves. There is always room for improvement but it is brilliant to see the boys showcasing their skills in front of a home crowd.
