U11 Blades v Keynsham A

A challenging day at the crease for the Bath U11 Blades. Keynsham elected to bat first and Bath opened the bowling with Ryan and Jack. One the first delivery of the match disaster struck. Tom was hit by the ball after an unexpected bounce which forced him to retire from the field for a number of overs before bravely coming back on to bowl later in the game. It was great to see the boys remain positive after this set back and continue to challenge the Keynsham batters. At 152-0 it was Alec who stepped up and fantastically took our first Bath Blades Hat Trick, which along side a wicket from Max left Keynsham finishing on an impressive 160-4.

Sadly the Keynsham bowling outfit was a strong one and despite a courageous effort Bath finished on 25 AO. We hope to see Keynsham again later in the season at NP and wish them all the best of luck in their forthcoming matches.
