In the penultimate game of the league campaign the Axes picked up another win meaning next week’s game with Hinton Charterhouse will be a winner takes all game for the league title. It was another professional job by the Axes with Louis M (3/4) keeping his best performance of the season until now. It was a controlled spell of quick bowling which gave the opposition bats very few opportunities to score. Louis, was ably backed up by everyone’s favourite metronome, Jamie G (1/8) who again bowled with outstanding control and still hasn’t bowled a wide this season!

In response to chasing down the 70 an chance was given to George W and debutant Sam T at the top of the order, both of whom were very unlucky to be dismissed. It was left to Luke S (29*) and Fred S (30*) to see the side home in the 10th over.
