On a gloomy evening at Bathampton an inter-club league game took place with some fine cricket on show by lots of our young players. The Axes again bowled well with Louis M (2/10) and Sam s (2/8) being the pick. Both of whom bowled good areas causing problems a plenty for the Scimitar batsmen. Luke W bowled at the death and a mixture of yorkers and slower balls yielded him outstanding figures of (1/2).

In reply the Axes went all out attack, and in particular Fred S (41) was in a run greedy mood latching on to anything over pitched and brutally dealing with anything short. He was well supported by Max S who hardly faced a dot ball.
