Bath Samarai u15s ran out winners against Hinton Charterhouse at North Parade

 

Bath were solid if not spectacular in reaching 105-2 from their 20 overs, with captain Sam G 27* and vice-captain John B 39* doing the bulk of the scoring.

 

Hinton followed suit and were cautious in the face of some excellent bowling from Owen B and "The metronome" Jamie G (4-3-2-2). 

 

At 72-2 from 15 overs the match had developed into a gripping contest, as spinners Twm & Jesse C combined to increase the required run rate.

But it was John B's spell of 4-18, bowling the last 3 overs from one end, that swung the contest Bath's way. 

 

Hinton finished on 94-8 to give the lads victory by 11 runs.
