Bath Cricket Club reports successful partnership with HAF - serving up 80 free school meals at Christmas multi-activity camps...

Bath Cricket Club has announced that its partnership with HAF ( to provide 80 free school meals at its Christmas multi-activity camps was a huge success, with all of the free school meals distributed to deserving children during the lead up to Christmas.

The cricket club is now looking to partner with HAF during the next school break in February – to provide a further 180 free school meals, topping its recent efforts.

The holiday activity camps, held during the festive period, offered participants sports activities like football to exciting tagging games, capturing the flag, and creative sessions such as arts and crafts.

The partnership with HAF allowed the cricket club to extend its impact beyond the bounds of the camp itself. By providing 80 free school meals, the club addressed the immediate needs of children in deprived areas, ensuring that they not only had access to educational and recreational opportunities but also received nutritious meals during the holiday season.

Through its partnership with Kings Edward’s School the cricket club was also able to provide a minibus to pick up and drop off those children that were unable to travel independently to the multi-activity camps.

Mark Watts, Lead Community Cricket Coach at Bath CC, said:

“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to collaborate with HAF in organising this holiday activity camp. Our goal was not only to offer a memorable and enjoyable experience for the children but also to make a positive impact on their well-being by providing essential support such as free school meals.

The success of this initiative reinforces our commitment to community engagement and the belief that every child deserves access to enriching experiences. We would also like to thank Kings Edward’s School for the use of a minibus – as this really did help boost the numbers of children that could attend the camps.”
