Club development update
27 October 2020
Dear Members
I am really pleased to inform you all that construction has begun again on our Car Park project at North Parade which of course includes the development of our new indoor cricket school. Yesterday (26.10.2020) has seen the contractors Rydon return to site in full force with piling in the car park commencing and excavation taking place on the cricket ground to allow for new drainage. I'll be honest it brought a tear to my eye seeing the hallowed turf being torn up, however we have no concerns about its reinstatement ready for next season!
Now that work has started again, I plan to give you all bi-weekly updates with photos via the website of the development and insight into the timeline of events through to completion. I know we are looking forward to having our car park back and I am especially excited to get confirmation of when we will have use of our new state of the art indoor training facility.
I want to take this opportunity to thank Karen Young and Matt Hankins for all their hard work through this unprecedented time and unfortunate delay. We can now get excited about what is to come.
As ever if you have any queries please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Kind regards
Andy Owen
