Get involved

11 December 2021

Do you want to get involved in the management of the club?

Have you got any skills/experience that you could bring to the Management Committee?

The club is a charity governed by a Management Committee (MC) or Board of Trustees that is responsible for directing and controlling it. The MC agrees and oversees the delivery of the club’s vision, core values and strategic objectives, whilst our full/part time professional staff run and operate the club on a day-to-day basis in line with the vision, values, and objectives.

The club is entering an exciting new chapter. The financial benefit from the student accommodation development deal has enabled us to start investing in improved facilities across both our grounds – most notably a new indoor cricket school at North Parade and a new multi-purpose cricket pavilion at Brownsword. Looking ahead to 2022, important projects include re-opening the car park and ensuring we generate a significant and sustainable source of income for the club and investigating re-developing the clubhouse at North Parade.

However, as a charity, it is not just all about the bricks and mortar. We promote and support cricket beyond our own club and encourage active and healthy lifestyles by delivering cricket and mentoring programmes in local state schools and we are working towards becoming a hub for disability cricket – examples of initiatives which often go unseen by our members.

So, if you are excited and motivated by the sound of our plans and believe you have any skills and/or experience to help us achieve our ambitions, then please consider becoming a trustee. Putting yourself forward is easy - just email office@bathcricket.com with your name and a short paragraph about yourself. We will be in touch to answer any questions you may have and to explain the rest of the process.

There is also useful information and a detailed explanation of the Trustee role and responsibility on www.gov.uk/guidance/charity-trustee-whats-involved

If becoming a trustee isn’t for you, we still love to hear from you especially if you have any contacts, experience or skills you think might be beneficial to the club - just email office@bathcricket.com and we can arrange a time to have an informal chat.
