junior cricket
Welcome to Bath CC’s junior section. We have a rich and successful history within our squads and continue to strive towards providing a safe and exciting foundation for young cricketers, as we try to find our next first team and senior player’s for the weekends.
We currently have 6 boys and 2 girls squads for ages Under 10 through to Under 15 who play competitive cricket within the Bath & District Youth Cricket Leagues as well as League and National Cups.
We are proud to say that our boys and girls are trained by our group of 13 qualified coaches who’s levels range from ECB Level 1 through to National Coaching Award winning Level 3’s. This includes coaches who coach on the Somerset and Wiltshire Pathway!

The Academy
Launched in the Winter of 2025, the Bath Cricket Club Academy has been created to support the development of the club’s most promising young cricketers and provide a clear pathway into senior cricket. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between junior cricket and the senior teams, helping talented players continue their development in a high-performance environment.
The Academy focuses on improving technical skills, tactical understanding, physical preparation, and mental approach to the game. Players benefit from structured coaching, competitive opportunities, and guidance from experienced coaches and senior players within the club.
With close links to both our junior section and senior sides, the Academy plays a key role in preparing the next generation of Bath cricketers to represent the club at the highest level and continue the strong tradition of cricket at Bath Cricket Club.

U19s
Under 19 cricket at Bath Cricket Club plays a unique role in bridging the gap between junior and senior cricket, with a strong emphasis on development, responsibility, and club culture. It is a key stage where players begin to take ownership of their game, preparing for the demands of senior cricket while still enjoying the structure and support of the junior programme.
The U19 environment is built around high standards, commitment, and a strong team ethos. Players are encouraged to compete hard, support one another, and contribute to the wider club, both on and off the field. It is often the first opportunity for players to experience a more independent and competitive style of cricket, reflecting the expectations of the senior game.
With many U19 players also featuring in senior teams, this group is central to the club’s development pathway. It provides a platform for young cricketers to challenge themselves, gain valuable match experience, and transition confidently into senior cricket.
We take pride in the culture of the U19s, where enjoyment of the game sits alongside ambition, helping players grow not only as cricketers but as individuals within the club.

Junior Cricket (U11-U15)
Junior cricket is a vital part of Bath Cricket Club, with teams competing from Under 11 through to Under 15. The junior section provides young players with the opportunity to learn the game, develop their skills, and enjoy cricket in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
Our junior programme focuses on strong coaching, regular training sessions, and competitive fixtures throughout the season. Players are encouraged to develop their batting, bowling, and fielding skills while learning the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment to the game.
Many of our junior cricketers progress through the age groups and go on to represent the club in senior cricket, with a clear pathway into the Academy and senior teams. With dedicated coaches, enthusiastic volunteers, and excellent facilities, Bath Cricket Club offers one of the strongest junior cricket programmes in the region, helping young players develop both on and off the field.
