Bath CC 1st XI v Bristol CC 1st XI

Bath 1st XI made the trip to Bristol Cricket Club on Saturday for their first Prem One match against Bristol CC 1st XI.

After losing the toss, Bath were asked to bat first and made a solid start through openers Jack Scrivens (33) and Brad Porteous (20) before Porteous was bowled by Jordan Fullagar. This brought Australian overseas, Harry Dixon to the crease on his debut for the club. Dixon swiftly took charge, batting positively to take the Bath score up to 80 when Scrivens departed. Sam Young (12) soon followed before Dixon also went for an excellent 61, controversially caught down the legside off Tom Probert. Ben Church (14) soon followed but skipper, Harry Ellison hit an undefeated 41 to push his team up to a respectable 224-8 from their allotted 50 overs.

Unfortunately rain hit at the tea interval, so the match was abandoned without a ball bowled in the Bristol reply.
