Bath CC 3rd XI v Timsbury CC 1st XI

Bath 3rd XI recorded their first win of the season against Timsbury CC 1st XI on Saturday.

After Timsbury won the toss and elected to bat first, they lost both openers early, with the dangerous Mark Sage (2) and Jonathan Strand (8) departing with the home sides score on just 29. Kevin Sibley (21) and George Webb (13) briefly added 31 but after these two batters departed, the Timsbury batting line up collapsed, slipping from 70-4 to 112 all out. Pick of the Bath bowlers was left arm spinner, Jacob Lewis (4-20) and Luke Welsh (3-17).

Bath made short work of passing Timsbury’s total in the 25th over with just three wickets falling, with contributions from Sam Simmons (25), Samuel Preece (22) and an undefeated 41 from Ben Harper.
