Bath CC Wanderers 1st XI v Taunton Deane CC Women’s 1st XI

The Bath Wanderers 1st XI travelled to The Convent Field on Sunday to face Taunton Deane in their first match of the Women’s Premier Division.

After being asked to bat first, the Wanderers were never able to string together any significant partnerships and were bundled out for just 122 in the 38th over of their innings. Taunton Deane’s standout bowler was Amelia James (4-17).

Taunton Deane’s reply was built around an undefeated 67 from skipper, Charlotte Webber, and although Eliza Hendey picked up two wickets, the home side cruised to a seven wicket victory with 16 overs to be bowled.
