Bath CC 3rd XI v Lodway 1st XI
Bath CC 3rd XI made the trip to Bristol to face Lodway 1st XI on Saturday. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bath lost John Bean (4) early but then Jack Goodwin (55) and Ben Harper (54) swiftly rebuilt the Bath innings taking the score up to 128 when Goodwin was out. Harper followed soon after, but solid contributions from Tim Scott (30) and Joe Prescott (32*) took Bath to a competitive 230-7 from their 40 overs.
Lodway’s innings got off to a flying start as Adam Robson (52) and Tobias Rice (72) took the home sides score up to 135 when Robson was the first wicket to fall. Ryan Rice then strode to the crease and kept up the momentum, posting a run-a-ball 46 before he was out. This left Paul Stubbs (21*) and Caolan Pearce (4*) to knock off the winning runs in the 37thover to win the match by 7 wickets.
