Bath CC 3rd XI v Lodway CC 1st XI

Bath’s 3rd XI top of the table clash with Lodway CC 1st XI ended early due to the rain. After being asked to bat first, Bath lost Dan Hope first ball of the match but then Mike Staves and Sam Simmons began to rebuild effectively, but shortly after losing Staves (23) rain began to intervene. When play restarted Sam Simmons went on to post a steady 34, but Bill Simmons (28*) and Tim Scott (15*) were left frustrated as rain continued to disrupt the match and eventually Bath’s innings was brought to a close after 26 overs at 121-3.

With a revised target of just 99 from 21 overs, Lodway made a positive start, but at 19-0 the rain returned and the match was abandoned. Bath remain top of B&D Division One but are now on the same points as Timsbury CC 1st XI after they recorded a strong win on Saturday.
