Bath CC 4th XI v Timsbury CC 2nd XI
Bath CC 4th XI came out on top on Saturday in their away fixture against Timsbury 2nd XI.
After Timsbury won the toss and elected to bat first, the home sides openers got off to a flyer before Henry Webb was bowled by Alex Moss for 27. Timsbury then slumped to 68-6 due to some tight bowling from Moss (2-20) and Allan Alex (3-19). However, Yosef Parvez (51) and Tom Parfitt (45) then brought the Timsbury innings to life, and the innings eventually closed on 185-9 from the 40 overs.
Bath’s reply started slowly, but then both openers, David Pippett and Rich Pandya got into their work putting away almost every lose delivery to the boundary. At drinks, the pair had taken down the chase to less than 100 needed, and they went on to take Bath over the line to win by ten wickets with seven overs still to be bowled. Pandya finished undefeated on 105, moving to his century and winning the match with a six, whilst Pippett finished on 77 not out. The Bath 4th XI are now in sixth place in the league.
