Bath CC through to Vitality Club T20 Area Finals

Bath CC’s 1st XI have made it through to the Vitality Club T20 Area Finals Day after beating Midsomer Norton 1st XI and Potterne 1st XI on Sunday at North Parade.

In their first match against Midsomer Norton CC, Bath chased down 219 to win by five wickets with eight balls remaining. Jack Scrivens hit 69 off just 25 balls and Sam Young was undefeated on 87 from 48 balls when Bath got across the line to win.

In their second fixture of the day, Bath managed to bowl out Potterne CC 1st XI for 122, with Jacob Lewis picking up 3-18 and Jack Scrivens 3-8. Bath then made short work of the run chase as Scrivens once again got the home side off to a flying start with 52 from just 18 balls, and Sam Young was again undefeated on 32 from 13 balls when Bath passed Potterne’s total just three down to win by seven wickets.

The Area Finals Day will take place at Bridgwater CC on Sunday 9th August, with the winner progressing to the Regional Finals at Basingstoke & North Hants CC on Sunday 30th August. The National Final will then be at Worcestershire CCC on Sunday 20th September.
