Bath CC U13s & U15s Claim Cup Double

Bath CC’s U13 & U15 boys performance squads did the cup double on Sunday by both winning the Bath & District Cup for their respective age group.

 The U13 performance squad beat Hinton Charterhouse CC by eight wickets. Bath bowled Hinton out for just 75, with S Buckland picking up 3 wickets. Bath then chased down Hinton’s total with only 2 wickets down. A great opening partnership between O Wedgewood (44*) and T Wedgewood (19) set up the win perfectly.

 The U15s performance squad also claimed silverware with a dominant 63 run victory against Corsham. Bath batted first and after losing an early wicket, Captain W Poulton and G Timbrell-Whittle formed a partnership of 139 to guide the team to an impressive 173-4. Thanks to some tight bowling from Bath, Corsham’s batters were never allowed to get going and were held to 110-4 from their 20 overs.
