Bath Cricket Club Hosts Walking Cricket Session for U3A

Bath Cricket Club was delighted to welcome members of U3A 'The Active Adventurers' for a special Walking Cricket session, introducing more people to one of the fastest-growing formats of the game.

The one-off event was designed to showcase the many benefits of Walking Cricket and encourage those aged 55 and over to stay active while enjoying the social side of cricket. The session gave participants the opportunity to experience the game in a fun, relaxed and inclusive environment, regardless of their previous cricketing experience.

Walking Cricket is a slower-paced version of the game that focuses on participation, gentle exercise and enjoyment. It is ideal for anyone looking to keep active, meet new people or rediscover their love of cricket in a welcoming setting.

Bath Cricket Club already runs Walking Cricket sessions every Thursday, with places available to book through the club's website. Those interested in taking part can also contact Mark Watts at mark.watts@bathcricket.com for more information.

Events like today's session with U3A 'The Active Adventurers' are a fantastic way to introduce new people to the game, and the club hopes it will inspire more members of the local community to come along and join the regular Thursday sessions.

If you're aged 55 or over and are looking for a friendly, enjoyable way to stay active, why not give Walking Cricket a try? We'd love to welcome you to Bath Cricket Club.
